Cooper quickly moved through the apartment, grabbing the first aid kit out of the kitchen and a shoebox out from the hallway closet. He jogged down the hallway past the guest room where his mother was at, grateful she had gone to bed before Thad had gotten home, and into their bedroom. The older man’s heart broke as he saw Thad crying, feeling himself start tear up himself. He rushed over to his fiancé’s side and looked at the bird, carefully picking it up and cradling it in his hands, “We’ll take care of it, okay baby? He’ll be okay.”
When he heard Cooper coming, he tried to calm down, feeling happier that he’d come to help him. He whimpered as Cooper carefully picked up the bird and got the box with the soft cloth inside, holding it for him. He wiped his eyes and runny nose, blushing. ”Sorry about my face,” he said softly, lip quivering. ”Thank you for helping me… I want to help him, he’s—” He started crying again. ”Cooper, look at his leg!” he sobbed softly.
You will.
I’ve been good. Busy, but good.
I miss hanging out with everyone! How are you and B-Laine?
I’m sure you both are going to take good care of it.
How are you though, Thad? You good?
I hope so!
I’m okay, been working way too much but good. How about you, man? :)
Thad had gotten the window open and was crying, full out crying for this bird. The bird, it was just huddling, and actually didn’t seem so worse for wear, but it’s leg was at a funny angle and it wasn’t using it. Thad sobbed and covered his mouth, using his other hand to touch the bird’s beak. It sat there and didn’t fly off when he did, and Thad sniffled and tried to stop crying. ”Little birdie, oh my God…”
I love you so much, yes, hurry!
I love you too, Thad. I’m on my way!
Thank you!
Hold on, babe. Let me grab a shoebox, a towel and some stuff to make a splint and we’ll help it, okay?
I love you so much, yes, hurry!
